Meet Jessica, and get to know her face well because she has every intention of being the next great fashion designer! She definitely fits the fashionista profile (those shoes!). We had to split her portrait session into two days because of weather, but she was a real trooper out there posing in snow flurries for me on the first day :o) Jessica, you look gorgeous!

Fine Arts Center wedding: Marylou & Jim

This was such a great wedding! The bride, Marylou, happens to be an old friend of mine. I had the pleasure of meeting her groom, Jim, the night before the wedding. He's a great guy! I love doing weddings at the Fine Arts Center -- the architecture is amazing, and of course being surrounded by beautiful art doesn't hurt! Marylou and Jim celebrated their union with a wonderful, meaningful ceremony and a VERY fun party. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Congratulations guys, I'm so glad I got to be a small part of your big day!

We were lucky to get a few minutes in the Fine Arts Center's theatre. This shot was lit with one flash and a video light.

Their winter-themed cake was fabulous by day...

Colorado Springs Mitzvah photography -- D's Bat Mitzvah

I bet you didn't know that I do Mitzvah photography! Here's a Bat Mitzvah I photographed recently -- actually I did the rehearsal, since this particular temple doesn't allow photography during the real thing. Afterward D and her mom met me at a nearby park for some fashion-y portraits. Very cool!

For those who've never atttended a Mitzvah, the celebrant spends most of it chanting in Hebrew. I like this shot a lot and never would have been able to get this close during the real event. That's why I prefer shooting the rehearsal instead.
