Colorado Springs maternity portraits: a baby for Tania & Matt

Matt and Tania are expecting their first baby any day now. We did these portraits last week, on a day that alternated between blindingly sunny and soft cloud cover. Some were done in the studio, but we quickly moved outdoors to Monument Valley Park, one of my favorite locations. Just look at these two -- they are going to have a beautiful baby!

Rachael & Jeff's Colorado Springs wedding

There's something about a backyard wedding that I love. Maybe it's the idea of getting married at home. Rachael and Jeff literally remodeled their house and landscaped their yard in preparation for their sweet backyard nuptials on Memorial Day weekend. It was a truly great day and lots of fun for me to document. Rachael and Jeff, congratulations!

Jeff's daughter Reagan served as the ring bearer.

Things got a little emotional during the vows. There wasn't a dry eye in the place. This shot of Reagan wiping away tears just kills me. (Another great capture by Allison.)

Rachael and Jeff live in a quiet cul-de-sac near the Broadmoor with very little traffic, so I decided to put the wedding party in the street for some fun portraits.

My good friend Sandra, who lives only a block from the newlyweds, graciously loaned us her yard for a few portraits so we could get away from the crowd. I couldn't resist a classic "Town and Country" pose in such a beautiful park-like setting.

The day after...
