Engagement portraits in Denver: Amy & Tyler

After spending an afternoon with Amy and Tyler in Arvada's Olde Town to shoot these engagement portraits, I'm starting to get really excited for their Denver wedding in July! They are planning on having their wedding ceremony at Holy Ghost (one of my favorite Denver churches), and their wedding reception at the Oxford Hotel. You can see from their engagement portraits that they are a beautiful couple -- imagine how wonderful their wedding pictures are going to be. I can't wait!

Cuuuuuuute!!!

I can never get enough of that Colorado sunshine!

I think Tyler looks like Ben Affleck...

and Amy is a dead ringer for Niki Taylor.

K's senior portraits in Colorado Springs

In just a few short weeks, K will be graduating! We did these fabulous portraits in Rockrimmon and in downtown Colorado Springs. Isn't she beautiful? What a super-photogenic kid! Here are a handful of my favorites from our shoot.

M's senior portraits in Colorado Springs

Just a few selections from M's senior portrait shoot a couple of weeks ago. He wanted something different -- he wanted Sinatra! Love it! I'm a big Sinatra fan myself, so I had a blast with this.
We took a ton of pictures. Here are a couple of my faves. (FYI the tie is mine. I've been dying for a chance to use it in a shoot!)

The B family portraits in Colorado Springs

My good friends Linda and Steve, who are expats permanently based in Rome, Italy (where they own a hotel) and currently living in Bali, recently came home to Colorado with their girls for a whirlwind visit. I'm very fond of Linda and Steve, so maybe that's why I think they have the most beautiful children, but take a look yourself and tell me if you have ever seen such a gorgeous family. They dropped by my studio the other day just to say hi, and I insisted on an impromptu photo shoot. I'm so glad I did! People, get portraits done from time to time! Especially if you have kids! It's so worth it.

Paloma, Viola and Guilia

I am in love with this picture!

Oh, those big brown eyes!

I love how this picture is cockeyed and off-center, and Giulia has such a big smile on her face!

Beautiful Linda. We've been friends for over 20 years.

I got Steve to crack a smile by telling him to think of his girls.

Can you believe this gorgeous couple has never had a portrait done?!?

Ashaley & Sean's wedding at the Pinery

At the end of February I had the pleasure of documenting Ashaley and Sean's beautiful wedding at the Pinery in Black Forest. Ashaley was such a lovely, giddy bride, and Sean had a huge grin on his face all day long! I enjoy shooting weddings at the Pinery because the chapel and the ballroom are adjacent to one another. At any time of year you can have a complete celebration and the weather is barely a factor.

This was a great wedding. I had a lot of fun working with the happy couple and their families (extremely nice people!), and I think Ashaley looked simply gorgeous!

A hug from mom Bev before the ceremony.

Another great ceremony capture by Allison.

The flower girl, Alisha, looking perfectly adorable during the vows.

Meanwhile the ringbearer, Mason, wasn't too impressed.

I live for those first few giddy moments after the ceremony!

We braved the chill to capture a little of that late afternoon golden light.

I love sparkler exits!
