Luisa's photo shoot

This is Luisa, a recently divorced single mom who wanted some smashing pictures of herself to celebrate where she is now in her life. This is what 45 looks like, people! Luisa and I hit it off immediately. I think she's as smart and warm-hearted as she is stylish and beautiful. I love her energy and spirit -- it's impossible not to be uplifted when you spend an afternoon with her! We did these portraits in my studio, downtown near the Fine Arts Center, and on the Colorado College campus, where Luisa did a little salsa dancing for the camera. Luisa, you look great!

The S family

This is my friend Shery and her family. Shery owns First Glimpse Ultrasound, right next door to my studio, and she's a great neighbor! In fact she's been so wonderful that I did this little portrait shoot for her as a gift. Doesn't she have a gorgeous family? Between her and Don they have six kids, including twins, and they're all just adorable. We did these portraits on a sunny but very chilly afternoon, a couple of days after Christmas. Thanks Shery for being such an awesome neighbor!

Jakob (who has lots of energy!)

McKenzie, the oldest

Supermom Shery !!!

The baby of the family, Bryson, was a little pooped by the time we got to his individual portrait! But he gamely smiled for exactly one millisecond (after we bribed him with a promise of hot chocolate!). What a cute little guy.

Making cute for the camera.

Leo's first Christmas!

I'm documenting Leo's first year, including his first Christmas! These portraits were taken on December 28th. Leo's multinational parents (American and Italian) filled their house with proud grandparents (and a great grandparent), aunties and cousins from around the world for this photo shoot, and everyone was eager to pose with the little superstar.
Leo didn't disappoint! Here's a small handful of personal faves from our session.
