Senior portrait special!

I'm running a senior portrait special right now! Book your senior portrait sitting before August 1st and receive four sheets of wallets free (that's a $46 value). Contact me to schedule your sitting.

The beautiful girl in these pictures is Jacqueline, and we did her senior portraits last week. Lucky girl, she's soooo pretty and she has this amazing cascade of hair that reaches almost to her knees. Wow!
Talk about a fashion accessory! We did her portraits at the Garden of the Gods, Monument Valley Park and in an alleyway downtown. I usually only do two locations, but we were having so much fun I just couldn't stop! Thanks for a fun day Jacqueline, you're an awesome model!

This western shirt belonged to Jacquline's mom in her high school days!

Isn't Jacqueline's hair beautiful?

I think she looks more than a little like Cindy Crawford in this shot!

Luisa & Tony

Here's a wedding I shot at Keystone Ranch with the wonderful and talented Ken Luallen on June 14th. Ken is based out of Raleigh, NC, so working at 9,000 feet above sea level was definitely novel for him! Luisa and Tony are friends of his from their college days. And not only are they a gorgeous couple, they're funny and sweet too. Luisa's Italian and all her family flew over from Italy for the wedding, so you can imagine how crazy the party got (but I won't show any incriminating images here!). Heck, after the reception they all went bar hopping! I don't know where they got the energy for all that partying. Must be the healthy Mediterranean air or something.

As the second photographer I really just got to have fun and shoot whatever I thought looked good, and I didn't have to pose anyone. I love it! I had a wonderful time. Luisa and Tony, congratulazioni!

Here's Ken hard at work. And people think our job is so glamorous. If they only knew!

Hand calligraphed place cards are a nice touch.

About to be escorted down the aisle by mom and dad.

There were plenty of laughs during the ceremony thanks to an errant ringbearer.

Here's the ringbearer. Now you know what I mean when I say errant!

On the links at twilight, posing for Ken's camera.

Isn't Luisa absolutely lovely? She looks like a Botticelli!

Sean & Bobbi

This was a fun wedding! Bobbi and Sean tied the knot on 06/07/08, which turned out to be a very popular date. (Sorry to all those other couples who asked about my availability for that date -- it pays to book early!) This was a wedding that I had been looking forward to because I knew it was going to be a killer party. It turned out to be very sentimental too. These two have a great bunch of friends and family, many of whom traveled from Bobbi's tiny hometown in Iowa to be here for their special day. And unless you live in a cave I'm sure you've heard that Iowa is battling massive floods right now, and those same people are hard hit, so if you want to help you can donate here: http://american.redcross.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ggl_main&s_subsrc=DonateToRedCross&s_src=F7FWE001&gclid=CO28ufeUh5QCFRZjnAodnjN_WA I made a donation via the internet and it took about 30 seconds -- easy peasy.

I had a great time documenting your day Sean and Bobbi -- warmest congratulations! And to those in the midwest suffering through all this flooding, please know we're pulling for you!

Dress: Maggie Sottero Couture from Danelle's Bridal
Flowers: Karol Peat at Spring Creek Willows 'n' Weeds
Ceremony:
Pauline Memorial Chapel, the Broadmoor
Reception:
Phantom Canyon, downtown Colorado Springs
Cake:

Deejay:
Sensational Sounds

I love a long, dramatic veil!

Bobbi & Sean hired a party bus to take them bar hopping between the ceremony and reception. What a fun couple!

First stop: Tony's, where they first met! Who says you can't meet your soulmate in a bar?

I call this one "Bud Light With Bridal Couple"

Bottoms up!

The cake was snickerdoodle with cinnamon filling. I'm not really a cinnamon person, but I swear this was the yummiest wedding cake I've ever tasted!

Phantom Canyon always serves such top notch food. I love doing weddings there!

The best man, Kyle, jokingly had one of the groomsmen hold up cue cards for his toast.

But then he got a little choked up delivering it! This was a great moment.

That's Bobbi's grandma on the left, gettin' down to KC and the Sunshine Band! (Click on the image to see it larger.)
