I've been doing a lot of portraits lately! Here are some faves from a couple of engagement sessions I did on Sunday and Monday (and man, was it ever hot both days!). Above are Renee and Nat and their "kids," Odie, Gertie and Bella. More of Renee and Nat below, and below them are Marcos and Beth, who are getting married this weekend! Don't they look happy?

Little Wedding On the Prairie

Michelle and Steve were married on May 19th at their home way out east. They built the house themselves (literally -- they are both construction workers!), about 45 minutes east of town on 40 acres just this side of Yoder. Both of them worked very hard to have their homestead ready for the big event. It was a western themed wedding, down to the bride's white cowboy boots! It's been a long time since I've shot a cowboy wedding. What a blast! This was a small event, just closest friends and family, many of them driving from out of state to be here. Gorgeous couple, perfect day!

Michelle's sister Tracy grabs a quick picture of her in the mirror just before the ceremony.
Something old: grandma's hankie

The adorable flower girls do their thing!

American Gothic, anyone? The veil was worn by Michelle's mom on her wedding day.
The newlyweds have a great view of Pikes Peak from their front porch.
We stopped at a dive bar on the way to the reception for shots! Here the bartender sets them up.
