Chad & Laura

I love Christmas weddings! There is something so romantic about candlelight and Christmas trees. Laura and Chad got married on Friday, December 21st at her family's church, Mountain View Presbyterian. It was absolutely frigid out, snowing and bitterly windy. That didn't stop us from having a great time!

This wedding was a long time coming. They've been sweethearts since high school and Laura was over the moon to finally become Mrs. Maxedon. She was so incredibly animated, it was a joy photographing her! After the ceremony, even though it was bitter cold, we made a quick stop on the way to the reception to take a few snaps at Bancroft Park in Old Colorado City -- I had this vision of them kissing with the Christmas lights in the background. It was 22 degrees out and we only lasted about five minutes but it was worth every freezing second, and I still can't believe Laura went for it in a strapless gown!

Happy holidays everyone! I hope you enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Chad's mother Chol came into the room just as Laura finished dressing, and this was her reaction upon seeing Laura in her full glory.

It was too much for Laura! On came the tears of joy!

I love this giddy exchange as the maid of honor, Alicia, congratulates the newlyweds

A very excited bride, moments after the ceremony!

This formal portrait of Laura was taken in the church's cafeteria! It was way too cold to go outside, so after we took a few poses in the sanctuary I decided to try out the plain white cafeteria wall. I tried to get a few "serious" pictures of her but she wouldn't stop smiling!
