Brittany & JP's Cadet Chapel wedding

[ Colorado wedding photographer ]

These images are from a wedding I second shot with my good friend Charlotte Geary in October. Brittany and JP's wedding at the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel was truly a family celebration. As second shooter, I got to hang back and shoot from angles I normally wouldn't, and capture all the interesting little moments that I might otherwise not get the chance to. As you can see, Brittany is a beautiful girl! She is also one of the most sweet-natured and laid back brides I've ever worked with. I only worked the first half of the wedding until Charlotte's husband Mike stepped in to relieve me, but I really enjoyed my brief time working with Brittany and JP, who is clearly a very happy man!

JP's watch was a gift from Brittany.

Moments before walking down the aisle, Brittany peeked over her shoulder and gave me an adorable smile.

The sabre arch. I never tire of this tradition!

The interior of the USAFA Cadet Chapel really is quite spectacular. What a great place for a wedding!

I think Brittany looks a little like Anne Hathaway, don't you?

Allison & Brian's Temple Events Center wedding

[ Denver wedding photographer ]

It's been ages since I updated my blog! I wanted to share my images from Allison and Brian's fabulous wedding at the Temple Events Center in Denver. This was my last wedding of the year and it was wonderful! Brian happens to be my best friend Jennifer's brother, so this celebration was especially near and dear to my heart. I'm very happy for them. Congratulations Brian and Allison!

Wedding and reception venue: Temple Events Center
Cake: Simplicity Cakes
Bridal hair: Kim Jundt, (720) 261-8274
Floral design: Babylon Floral
Ceremony music: St. Martin's Chamber Choir
Bride and groom's transportation: Royal Express Transportation

Jennifer (the groom's sister and my best friend) borrowed one of my cameras and hung out with the boys as they got ready. I love this picture she snapped of our friend Spencer, looking so relaxed and happy.

Jennifer also designed and handcrafted all of the invitations, programs and menus. Gorgeous!

Denver gave us a nice twilight that day.

The flowergirls, Ashley and Eden.

Since Brian and Allison didn't want to see each other before their evening ceremony, I had to improvise! I took some of their portraits out in the street as my boyfriend Pat trained video lights on them.

Beautiful bride!

Handsome groom!

I'm a little jealous of Allison's canary yellow diamond.

Immediately after signing the license.

Stephani's Christmas portraits

[ Colorado Springs portrait studio ]

This is my lovely friend Stephani, who wanted some sassy portraits to give to loved ones as Christmas presents. We had a really nice time in locations all over downtown taking these. It turns out that Steph is quite the supermodel!

Doesn't she have the most amazing eyes?

Mia turns one!

[ Colorado Springs children's photographer ]

Some of you may have been following Mia's progress along with me over the last year, and I am happy to announce that she's just celebrated her first birthday! Soon I'll be designing her Baby's First Year album and I promise to share it here. We did her final portrait sitting on a warm Saturday in October, a few days after her first birthday. We had a lot of fun and I hope Liz and Dan treasure these photos from Mia's first year.

Liz and Dan are such a great looking couple!

Meagan + Ian

[ Colorado Springs wedding photographer ]

Meagan and Ian were married at Mystic Meadows on a crisp fall day last month. We got lucky with the golden late afternoon sunshine, even though it was a little chilly out. It was truly a beautiful day for such a happy event!

Meagan wore these stylish copper colored shoes under her ivory dress.

The kiss!

I love late afternoon light and lens flare!

Jennifer's model portfolio shoot

[ Colorado Springs fashion photographer ]

You may remember Jennifer from this shoot I did with her in August. Well, her revived modeling career is steaming right along! After quickly signing with two agencies (they snatched her right up!), she came to me for a more extensive portfolio shoot.
Here are a few faves from our shoot a couple of weekends ago.

Did I mention Jennifer's a yoga instructor? She's really good! She did a few asanas for the camera in Monument Valley Park. This is late afternoon sunshine mixed with off-camera flash.

Her agent asked for some smiling shots. What a great smile!

This one is my fave. Wow she's beautiful!
