Jennifer's model portfolio shoot

[ Colorado Springs fashion photographer ]

You may remember Jennifer from this shoot I did with her in August. Well, her revived modeling career is steaming right along! After quickly signing with two agencies (they snatched her right up!), she came to me for a more extensive portfolio shoot.
Here are a few faves from our shoot a couple of weekends ago.

Did I mention Jennifer's a yoga instructor? She's really good! She did a few asanas for the camera in Monument Valley Park. This is late afternoon sunshine mixed with off-camera flash.

Her agent asked for some smiling shots. What a great smile!

This one is my fave. Wow she's beautiful!

Welcome baby Leo!

[ Colorado portrait photography ]

This is Leo, who was six weeks old when we did these portraits a couple of weekends ago. Isn't he adorable? His parents, Jennifer and Simone, are having me chronicle Leo's first year in a series of four photo shoots (you can see their maternity portraits here). If you're interested in a Baby's First Year package, contact me at (719) 321-7990.

Congratulations Jen and Simo! Leo, I can't wait for our next photo shoot!

Yes, he peed on the bed. But it was worth it to get this cute photo.

I love this picture. He's so cute!

I just love how he's looking at his mommy in this image.

The whole crew. A little tired, but extremely happy!

Erin + Christopher

[ Colorado Springs wedding photographer ]

Here's Erin and Christopher's fabulous wedding at the Briarhurst last month! Everything about this wedding was eye candy. Erin's such a glamorpuss -- she was totally into her wedding, down to the soles of her BCBG shoes. Congrats Erin and Chris!

Ceremony and reception venue: The Briarhurst Manor, Manitou Springs
Bridal gown: Alfred Angelo, from Bridal Elegance
Bride's and bridesmaids' hair: Brandi Trapp at Genesis Salon
Bridesmaid's attire: Mori Lee, from Bridal Elegance
Tuxedos: Gentleman's Choice
Floral Design: Skyway Creations
Cake: Creative Cakes by Carol

Erin got dressed in the Clark Gable suite at the Cliff House.

I would love to know what this conversation was about!

The flower girls (Christopher's nieces) were adorable. Everyone went nuts when they walked up the aisle.

Fabulous bouquet!

Erin's so photogenic it should be illegal.

Erin's "something old" was her grandmother's wristwatch.

I was outside taking a quick break during dinner when they decided to smooch.

Monica + Mark

Monica and Mark were married at the Garden of the Gods Club on a chilly Saturday in September. I want to thank my friend Brad Walters for stepping in and covering their wedding for me, as I was unexpectedly hospitalized and unable to photograph it myself. Brad did a bang up job despite the low light and rain. Clearly the weather did not dampen anyone's spirits! Monica looked like a goddess, and Mark was so relaxed and handsome. I wish I could have been their to document their joy, but looking at Brad's pictures is the next best thing! Congratulations you two!

The ring pillow and flower girl's basket were handcrafted by loved ones.

Monica gifted her bridesmaids with these beautiful jeweled cuffs.

Giving Monica away. I'm dying to know what was so funny!

Monica and Mark made an NBA-style entrance to their party, complete with sweatbands and high fives.

Aaron + Kelly

[ Denver wedding photographer ]

Aaron and Kelly have been together for nearly a decade, so their wedding was highly anticipated. They chose the gorgeous Denver Botanic Gardens for their wedding ceremony -- one of my favorite places in the world, as a matter of fact. Their elegant reception took place on the 37th floor of the Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver. What a view!

The thing I like most about Aaron and Kelly is that, even after ten years as a couple, they're still clearly gaga for each other. I think it shows in their pictures :o)

Wedding ceremony site: Denver Botanic Gardens
Ceremony harpist: Mary Keener
Floral design: Brighton Florist
Hair: Danielle Sanchez at Berenices Salon Denver
Makeup: Sondra Lockett at Berenices Salon Denver
Wedding reception site: Grand Hyatt Denver
Chair covers and linens: Tamara Wilkinson
DJ services: DJ Guy

The florist incorporated Kelly's grandmother's vintage jewelry into the bridal bouquet.

Wonderful capture by my second shooter, Ginger Houser of Blue Sequoia Photography.

The vows.

Waiting out a thunderstorm. Kelly anxiously reviews her vows, while the flower girl Kristen obviously finds all this wedding nonsense to be quite dull.

Tourists admire and congratulate Kelly as she makes her way to the ceremony site.

The best man, Andrew, is one of my grooms from 2006! Excellent ceremony capture by my assistant Allison.

Another great shot by Ginger.

Moments after the ceremony.

I love shooting portraits at the Botanic Gardens!

As I was doing formals of Kelly I asked her to look at her new husband, and this is the expression I captured. Love!

Their classically swagged cake with the Denver skyline in the background.

Jennifer's headshots

[ Colorado Springs headshots ]

Behold the beautiful Jennifer, who needed headshots in support of a new foray into modeling. She's one of the most photogenic people I've ever met! She's actually a returning client -- three years ago Jennifer and her husband had me do maternity portraits when they were expecting their first child. Now this gorgeous girl is a mother of two, can you believe it?!?

Jennifer was signed with the Wilhemina agency when she was a teen. Lately she's decided to give it another go. With a face like this, I think she'll be a raging success!

Here's one of the maternity portraits I did of Jennifer in early 2006. Isn't she gorgeous?
