Catholic wedding photography in Colorado Springs: Amy & Kevin

I've known Amy since she was about 14, when I worked with her mom, Sarah. When Amy was ready to graduate from high school, I did her senior portraits. That was about 10 years ago, and I was so tickled when she called me this spring and told me she was engaged and needed a wedding photographer! She and Kevin were married at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, the same church my mom attends (and where I was confirmed many years ago). Look at the smile on Amy's face in every one of these pictures. That's one happy bride! Congratulations Amy and Kevin, your wedding was beautiful!

Amy looks so happy and excited being escorted up the aisle. I love it!

Amy and Kevin's talented friends entertained us during the reception with their ballroom dancing skills.

Senior portraits in Colorado Springs: Ellory

Here's beautiful Ellory, who's about to start her senior year. I've been friends with her mom Angela since I was Ellory's age. Kind of hard to believe that I'm doing senior portraits for Angela's kids now! In fact, this is the second kid -- big sister Samantha came to me for senior portraits four years ago. Now Samantha's a senior in college! How time does fly.

That's Ellory on the left with her big sister Samantha, in a portrait I took four years ago. Time flies!

Pioneers Museum wedding: Maggie & Eric

What a sincere pleasure it has been working with Maggie and Eric. They're just so cool! Let's put it this way: I've never had a couple do their first dance to a Zero 7 song, and I've never had a father-daughter dance to Bob Marley. That's how fun and unique this day was :^) Add to that the fact that I finally got to shoot a wedding at the beautiful Pioneers Museum, which only started offering weddings recently, and I can tell you I had a great day! Despite the Waldo Canyon fire and all the added stress that put on them in the days leading up to their nuptials, Maggie and Eric's wedding was perfect, and so very THEM. Congratulations, guys!

Maggie got ready in one of the big gorgeous suites at the Antlers.

So pretty!

Their first look. Adorable!

The Pioneers Museum has only just started offering weddings, in their historic courtroom. What a cool place to tie the knot!

In the stretch limo, turning the tables on their poor hardworking photographer ;^)

Sylvan Dale Ranch wedding: Molly & Justin

Don't you think it's just too good to be true to get married in a town called Loveland? And the Sylvan Dale Ranch is so beautiful and just so... Colorado. I'd never been there before, and now that I have I hope I get to shoot another wedding there soon! I love a good old fashioned western wedding on a ranch, and Molly and Justin's wedding was so pretty, filled with charming little details (and pie! yum!), not to mention Mother Nature's grand contributions. The weather was perfect and the Big Thompson River filled our ears with its music. A magical day.

She looks so happy here. I love it.

Catching Justin's eye as her dad escorts her up the aisle.

They have a tree swing at the ranch.  How could we not take a picture with it?!?

See, I told you it was pretty there.  Just gorgeous.

Candies formed like robin's eggs, in an adorable little nest. Almost too pretty to eat!

The centerpieces were tree branches hung with origami cranes.
